They are going to give you just shy of a million dollars? And that was second prize given by a charity?
What part sounds legit? This smells like a lot of BS. Worse, since you called back, they have you flagged as a sucker and the pitches will never stop.
Get a new phone # and pray that ends it.

If you won something you shouldn't have to buy anything else to claim the prize. All they really want you to do is buy some worthless globe cards and run off with your money and leave you with nothing. I'd be a little suspect of an Atty. named Johnny.

That's a lot fishy. It's like those emails you get, saying someone in Africa with your last name recently died, and you stand to inherit a zillion dollars. It's all crap. Don't send them a dime! Come on...NO one requires that you spend $600 of your own money BEFORE they send you $950,000.00, not to mention that it's illegal to require that you purchase something before you can enter a contest.

OMG......After years and years of frauds like this....People still ask about it..It is a total fraud....after you buy these cards, you wont be able to get a dime. Who will you complain to then??????
And if someone tells you to link them some money to get to an ofshore account and reimburse you with triple your moeny, dont do it.

You never should have to pay if you win something. Something you win is supposed to be free. There was a show on Dr. Phil himself that said never to accept anything with his name attached unless you see him advertise it on TV. Rember if you win it, it is FREE. Take care and get rid of that text message.

if they're sending in through a text message with english like you listed above, then i would totally recommend you keep calling until you get your prize.
while you're at it, give them your bank account number.
