My sister is 11 years old. She is so annoying!!!She is "popular" at her school. She thinks she is the best person alive and she talks everyone like a total brat. She thinks she is so old and mature being in 6th grade in "middle school."She already has an annoying boyfriend. Her friends are always over bugging me my boyfriend and my friends. She always want to go to parties and stay out late. She has a cellphone (we share and plan and she takes all the txt messages up) and an ipod which I didn't get until I was older. She also always has to have the brand name , expensive stuff and she will whine if she doesn't get it. She can't wear makeup but I know she does because when she comes home she washes it off. I have to drive her and her friends places. I got my drivers lisence a year ago and the last thing I want to do is drive them. She always is saying how shes like going through puberty when she is not. I hate how she acts older than she is. How do I deal with such an annoying brat?

Unfortunately I think this one is up to your parents. They need to apply some rules and supervision, which should not be your responsibility. An 11 year old is too young to be dating! Obviously she does not appreciate all the "stuff" she has either. Just remember that she is the way she is due to your parents lack of parenting, so try not to be too hard on her because it is mostly your parents' fault, not hers.

She is clearly after attention. Give her attention when she does admirable things, but when she acts bratty suck it up and ignore the behavior. Never play her game and just be a good role model. She wont listen if you talk to her in an irritated/mad fashion, but consider sitting down with her one on one and having a heart to heart. If she can see that you are genuine and care about her, she will slowly make progress. The socratic method is always useful! Ask her questions related to what is important in her life. Try to figure out what she really wants. Give her attention through spending time together, not necessarily spending money.

Well you can stop being jealous of her and keep loving her outright.

Nothing ticks off younger siblings by being all gushy with them in front of everyone. And if you could mean it that'd be so much better.

But who cares if she gets an Ipod before you and cellphone and etc. It sounds like she looks up to you as a role model if she's bugging you so much.

Don't ruin your chance at having a good relationship with your sister. You'll regret it later when you get older trust me.

Kill em with kindness.
