it can vary between person to person

most people procrastinate because they lack motivation. either they don't have an external reward and internal drive to achieve the goal.

however it can also be part of your temperament that is formed from your genes and the environment you are raised in. I tend to procrastinate for this reason because I have tons of internal motivation when it comes to school and tons of other things, but I still procrastinate like crazy and I have my entire life in most aspects of my life.

For example, right now I should be studying for my test tomorrow. I have tons of internal motivation because I want to get a good grade because I want to go to Grad school. I also find the subect very interesting, but for some reason I'm on yahoo answers and watching the aggie game.

As long as its not interfering with your performance in a bad way then don't worry about it. I don't worry about it, I still get good grades, just a lot of late nights.
