I don't know where you got this bit of information, but I would first verify it. Any mansion is going to use more energy than an average home due to more space to heat and cool. If he has multiple residences, then of course he is going to use more energy to heat and cool all of them.
Now compare his energy use to a similarly sized mansion in the same region(there has to be a few out there). It has to be compared locally due to climate differences. If his energy use is greater at his residence than others in the same area that are the same size, then you are correct. Otherwise, what is your point? If on the other hand, he is using less energy than comparable sized homes in the same region(s), then you are going to loose the arguement.

Yes I knew this. You will have idiots that do not believe this, or they just refuse to see it.. Gore travels in private jets, he has many homes (4 or 5) Is driven in limos and is really fat. Gore is a hypocrite. He want's you to do as he says, not as he does.
Gore is not only a hypocrite but he is an elitist and a dictator.
Check out the video link here and look at that website for more on Gore and his hypocrisy.

A spokeswoman for Gore said Gore is being attacked for his green message.
"Sometimes when people don't like the message, in this case that global warming is real, it's convenient to attack the messenger," said Kalee Kreider.
She said Gore subsidizes renewable energy sources such as solar power, wind power and methane gas to balance 100 per cent of his electricity costs.
She said Gore participates in a utility program that lets people buy blocks of "green power" for $4 a month. Gore purchases 108 blocks a month, the equivalent of 16,200 kilowatt hours.
The Gore home is also under renovation to add solar panels, Kreider said.
"For every ton of carbon they emit, [Gore] offsets that by doing investments in renewable energy sources," Kreider said.
Johnson said this is not enough.
"In general, I applaud his efforts to reduce energy consumption, but if he is going to be a spokesman for global warming, he has to be willing to make the same sacrifices," Johnson said.
Read it and weep....you can spin and twist the facts as much as you want.....but the truth is there....5 lines under the false accusations.

This guy is a major hypocrit. Global warming is one of the hugest myths portrayed onto the American Public. Global warming is a lie that is being told in order to bring America to her knees financially. Check the facts: http://www.oism.org/pproject/s33p357.htm
Additionally, Al Gore was fined by the EPA several times for polluting the water on his own property in Tenessee.
What do you morons think will happen to the environment if we eliminate carbon dioxide? All plant life, and us will die.

This isn't that unusual for liberals. There are many, many instances where they create laws and regulations that the public must live with but exempt themselves from. For instance we have to live with affirmative action regulations but congress does not have to follow them in their own hiring practices. Remember the house check cashing scandal? Do you know that congressmen can still smoke in their offices? This is true with nearly every restrictive regulation that has ever passed congress.
How do you think the elite in Hollywood live? They love to preach to us about wasting resources. How many of them live in gigantic mansions with only one or two other people in them? Imagine what it cost to heat/cool such huge buildings. How much wood went into building them etc. Yet they tell us we are not doing enough for the environment, the poor, the homeless etc. How many homeless families has Barbabra Streisand moved into the empty bedrooms of her vast estate?
I have nothing against the lifestyles of the rich and famous. I just don't like being preached to by them. Walk the walk first, then talk the talk.
And get a load of the liberal responses to this question. They have accepted the spin without question but doubt the voracity of actual public records. It is very weird.
How much energy is consumed by the Gore estate is on record. All his spin about what he intends to do with solar panels is nice but it isn't even started. As far as wind generated energy there is precious little in his area. And the carbon credit nonsense...
Look, if everyone is allocated X amount of carbon credits and someone uses less than his allotment that means less pollution. But if he sells them to Al Gore who uses up his own plus the other guys credits he bought the net result is the same amount of pollution as if the first guy used them himself. Just because rich guys like Al Gore (who's family fortune comes from owning Occidental Petroleum) can afford to purchase other peoples carbon credits, that does not reduce the amount of CO2 produced. It just changes where it is coming from.

No shock there! He refuses to "go green" and pay the small surcharge on his energy bill. He drives his SUVs, private jets to his promotions for the movie, and his mother made her money for the mansion he now owns in Occidental Oil Stock. But I'll get right on getting a Prius because he's lecturing ME about global warming. (I knew there was a reason I didn't vote for him!)

He's not an average man. He is important to America and probably requires a little more to run his show and get the message out.
Whats so wrong.....global warming or not.....to play it safe and start moving this country off of foreign oil and quit funding Islamic extremists. Whats so wrong with protecting our precious natural resources and our enviroment.
I personally would like to see my grandchildren and their grandchildren be able to enjoy the green earth and blue skies.

Actually that is a lie, created by the Republican political spin doctors to discredit a former rival, and distract people from the seriousness of the global warming problem.
