I'm looking for a fairly inexpensive guitar. Electric or acoustic/electric. It needs to be fairly slim and be able to produce a nice sound. I currently use Ibanez S370 and some really old Ibanez. Looking for a guitar that can go between jazz, metal, rock, grunge, and overall a variety of styles.

What kind of guitar is best for me?

One thing to keep in mind when purchacing a guitar is, generally speaking, you get what you pay for. My best advice is to take a trip to your local music store and ask to see some instruments in your price range. Play several different brands and don't let price be the only factor in your decision making process.

epiphone sg, gibson if your pocket is a little deep. i got the epiphone sg, and setup properly, especially with better electronics it can sound pretty good. epiphone will never match gibson though.
