i can walk in any heel you give me because i've been wearing them since i was very young.

I can walk comfortably in a five inch heel, although I have stumbled around on a higher heel! My everyday preference is for heels just over 4" high
Walking on platform heels is far more difficult. But, in general, if your normal limit is a 4" heel, then the addition of a 2" platform restricts you to a 6" heel, because of the imposed curve on the soles of your feet.
Personally, I do not like high platforms. There demise is one aspect of fashion that I applaud.
In general terms, those with smaller feet find it more difficult to wear as high a heel as those with larger feet. (Because of the imposed curve of the foot)

i can walk in about 4 or 4and a half inch heels cuz i love to wear them. some people would be uncomfortable with that. Yes the heel will be taller if you add a platform.
Say you have a regular shoe with a four inch heel, if you add a two inch platform the heel will now be six inches... so the higher the platform the higher the heel... when you start getting past about 4and a half inches you start getting into fetish shoes
