I'm learning RNA now and I am confused about polypeptide and ribosome. I know that Polypeptide is composed of amino acids. Protein is composed of one or more polypeptides.
I checked the wikipedia and found the following description about Ribosome.

"A ribosome is a small, dense organelle in cells that assembles proteins."

So, does that mean, Ribosomes are composed of Proteins >>> are composed of Polypeptides >>> are composed of Amino Acids?

Based on the above, my understanding about mRNA and rRNA turned out to be this.

mRNA codes for polypeptides, and after mRNA, the rRNA begins to funtion in coding the Polypeptides to form Protein which eventually becomes Ribosomes. Is my understanding right?

You are mostly right. However, the proteins that the mRNA codes for are used for many different functions, such as enzymatic or metabolic functions.

Ribosomes are "riboproteins", meaning they are made of both RNA and proteins. Ribosomes dont actually code the polypeptides, they are more like a building platform/scaffold that other mRNA can attach to, and then tRNA's with their amino acids come and build the polypeptide on that scaffold, using the mRNA as the template. the ribosome kindof makes sure that everything is held in the right place so you get the correct protein/polypeptide in the end. hope that helps, if you need more help feel free to contact me.

Ribosomes are made up of both protein (polypeptides comprised of amino acids) and ribosomal RNA (rRNA). mRNA is 'decoded' at the ribosome and the sequence of nucleotides is used to manufacture protein; each codon (a set of three nucleotides) codes for a specific amino acid)

i do not know what ribosomes are made of, but it isnt proteins, because they make proteins, and RNA is made up of nucleic acids
