How you described is how my boobs look now. It didn't happen right away. They are just now getting darker but they have been tender since the first trimester. Have you taken a test? Or are you having any other symptoms?

One week after becoming pregnant my breasts swelled up a whole cup size and were very tender and sore. I couldn't wear a bra and could hardly bear to wear a shirt my nipples were so sensitive. This is a very good indicator of pregnancy, even befor a home pregnancy test will say you're pregnant. I was a month pregnant befor a test came out possitive.
There are other reasons for your breasts to feel this way, though. Some women's breasts become sensitive and swollen like this when they have consumed too much caffein. Have you drank more coffee or soda than usual recently?
Anyways, if you suspect you might be pregnant prenatal vitamins are available over the counter and won't hurt you to take them if you're not, take them just in case. Stop your consumtion of alcohol, nicotein, and ibuprophen... all of which can harm your baby in the event that you are pregnant. Many women also choose (as I did) to stop their intake of caffein (which may end up solving your breast problem if you're not pregnant). Go to the doctor for a blood test, they're more accurate than hpt's.
Good Luck, and if you are pregnant, Congratulations! Motherhood is wonderful!

I wouldn't take that wholely as a reason to think that you're pregnant. There are alot of other reasons that you could be experiencing those symptoms. You didn't mention your age but it could be just a natural part of growing up that many young women experience. Now on the other hand, if you are sexually active and you've missed your period or are late, then I would be more likely to think along the lines of pregnancy. If this is the case then you should go and get a Home Pregnancy Test or visit your local Planned Parenthood where they will give you one for free. Whatever the case, Good Luck !

The only way to know for sure whether or not you have become pregnant is to take a pregnancy test. You can buy these at the Pharmacy and get the result quickly. The books all say you should expect your breasts to change during pregnancy. They will increase in size, of course, possibly creating stretch marks. Most likely your nipples and areolae will grow and darken as the weeks pass, making themselves a more obvious target for a hungry near-blind newborn.
Omg .. Have you ever heard the joke about the woman who was granted the wish of having bigger boobs, and the genie told her that every time someone said pardon around her (like dolly pardon) that her boobs would get bigger. Well she bumbed in to a Chinese man accidently and he looked at her and said "A thousand pardons!". The next day the title of the newspaper ad read "Man killed by two torpedos!" That's how I felt when my milk came in. They needed their own zipcode

Usually my breasts would feel the way yours does, is when my period was approaching. My breasts just got bigger while I was pregnant they didn't hurt, I went up a cup size and two inches.
