the only reason it is banned is because the government is to dumb to find out how to tax it...it is to easy to grow privatly that they fear they can't tell the diffrence between taxed weed and untaxed weed...if you don't understand, write to me and I will explain more in full.

Americans get stupid enough on alcohol legally and have access to marijuana if they like. All drugs are destructive so why add fuel to the fire? Isn't society pathetic enough? Smoke a joint before you perform surgery, fly a plane, do a root canal, work on a transmission, etc.

Agreed, its because they cannot tax it. And demonizing a substance is the perfect way to keep it illegal without question. Although today's world is starting to try to legalize it. Theres a bill making its way up through legistlature attempting to legalize marijuana for medical uses right now.

Rumor has it that hemp was cheaper to buy than paper, and the folks who sold paper didn't want to lose out on a lot of profit, so pot became the evil weed...sounds as good as any other reason.

because the government is too stupid to legalize it. they would get ALOT of money from the taxes that could go to important things our society is missing.
