Paula was a famous choreographer and singer. Simon produced a similar show in Britain and is a top record producer. Im not sure about Randy but he's cool. They were just famous in the music business and have knowledge about different parts of the music industry to make a good panel. Hope this is helpful!

Paula Abdul was a choreographer and singer. Randy Jackson was a musician. I know that he use to play with Journey. Simon Co well I have no idea about.
