im going to buy a Intel E6300 conroe CPU and either a GIGABYTE GA-965G-DS3 LGA 775 Intel G965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard or a GIGABYTE GA-965P-DQ6 LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard (i dont know which one) then i need a CPU cooler (dont know which one; around $50) and a new graphics card (price is around $200). thanks!

i would recommend the GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 (rev. 3.3) (http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Overview.aspx?ProductID=2456&ModelName=GA-965P-DS3)mainboard if you dont plan to use SLI. about the graphics card i would think a geforce 7900 gs or something like that would be ok.
don't buy the mainboard with the on-board graphics if you plan on buying a pci-express graphic card.
