Please contact the Dept. of Labor and Industries in you area on this one. Also, please contact an attorney on this one too. Do you have photocopies of the bounced checks, or can you get copies of these checks? Or paystubs? Also, did anyone else have their checks bounce from the company? One other question: have you deposited or cashed the checks even a day before payday? One more: Is this a local in your area company, or national? For legal action, if it's more than just you, and the checks were deposited/cashed only on pay day, not before payday, you could see about a class action lawsuit against the company, with the help of an attorney. If it's just you, you could sue them with the help of an attorney. But if your paychecks bounced, then other workers probably had theirs bounce too. If it's a noational or big enough company, the feds will probably do an investigation of the company. At least the state you live in should. I wish you the best. Take care.

Not really. This happens to many people all over the world. It is unfortunate but it does. This has happened to my employee (the same one over and over) for a period of time. It was not my fautl as the money was deposited into the business account. Sometimes, banks make mistakes. I would talk to my immediate supervisor or go to Human Resources and let them know what happened. If it is only 2 times, don't sweat it. You are risking losing your job by taking legal action over something that might not be in their control. Follow the chain of command first. If you don't get any resolution, then get legal action.
