Do you believe that Jesus was all about non-violence? That he would never fight evil if it got in his face?

Or do you believe that he DOES have a mean side to him, and that he's willing to fight like a man if necessary?

I think Jesus is all God and all man. I think He had separate purposes. His earthly ministry was not political. He was establishing a heavenly kingdom. When He returns, He will speak a word, and the enemy will crumble (a sea of blood as high as a horse's bridle). Jesus will never have to lift a finger. And as long as the liberals can post questions about Jesus, do not let them tell you that you cannot.

When Jesus was walking the earth, he displayed anger and fought evil, when he over turned the tables of the money changers in the Temple, his anger though was justified, Michael and his angels also fought Satan and through him out of heaven. The bible says turn the other cheek. But Jesus never expects people to let them selves be made slaves or to be walked on. The Bible says if good people do nothing, evil will prevail, so Jesus expects people to stop evil when possible. Stopping evil dose not make you mean, it can also make you good, stopping evil is a good thing it won't go away on it's own. Do you think G-D will be evil when he throws Satan and his demons into the pit of hell, or do you think it will be a good thing. I for one can't waite. Jesus came to change the hearts of men, not to beat them over the head.

I don't believe that Jesus--the one that most Christians believe in--ever existed.
If he did, why is he not mentioned in any other books except the Bible? There are history books that still exist from that area from that time, yet no mention of Jesus.
In addition, 99% of the new testament was written hundreds of years after he died. The most ancient book of the new testament wasn't written until 40--60 years after Jesus' death.
I reject Christianity because of it's cannibalistic overtones (eat my flesh drink my blood) and because Jesus is a zombie (he died, rose from the dead and walked the earth again among the living--that's a zombie folks).
You might as well be asking if Mother Goose was a hottie.

Jesus was good

His teachings were very similar to the teaching of Buddha

I respect Jesus a lot, but I despised Americans who claims to be Christians but enjoyed watching Saddam getting hang for not having WMD.

In some religion they believe that Saddam will be waiting in heaven for a judgement on Americans

Read the last book of the Bible. He'll be fighting alright! His entire Mission was about fighting evil. That was the POINT of the Cross.

And this question belongs in R&S.

I think that if Jesus were around today, he would totally be in the UFC and kick the crap out of Chuck Lidell. He would have to put on a few pounds though to fight middle-heavy weight. I also think he would pimp smack someone if they put their shoes on his leather.

Jesus was indeed capable of Violence (the episode at the temple money exchangers) but never murder.
His anger was tempered with mercy and righteousness.

I think Jesus would never hurt anyone no matter what the circumstances. I think that Jesus has the power to settle problems in other ways.

Jez knows her Bible ... he will return as a King, a warrior who will crush the foes of Israel and the church

We conservatives or anybody need to be careful that we do not interpret this alone to mean that God grants us the authority to make war, and I do not think Bush takes this lightly at all (and I would argue that Bush didn't make this war ... terrorists did, but I realize that's not the crux of your question). But it is folly to think that Jesus is all peace and no judgement.

Well he cleared the Temple when he got upset with the corrupt money changers didn't he? Jesus was always in charge.

I love him and I should thank him everyday for the blessings in my life.
