At the end of the movie, Jimmy sends Karen to take her pick of dresses.... Karen freaks out after walking a few ways down that path and takes off in fear she was going to be killed. Was Karen just being paranoid that Jimmy was going to kill her, or was her instinct correct ---and Jimmy had planned on killing her, which is why he sent her to “pick out some dresses”?

I'm pretty sure she was just paranoid. Jimmy didn't have a reason to kill her. I wondered about this in the past myself.

jimmy was goin to have karen killed,
he had plenty of motivation. she knew just as much about the coke scheme as henry did and he wanted to eliminate EVERYONE that had ties to him. that includes her. if she were to be arrested and questioned, she may have given jimmy up to get off just like henry ended up doing.
