I live in the Veterans' Home of Wyoming. We have a creek about 20 yards down the hill from the back. We have white-tail deer, mule deer, raccoons, squirrels, cotton tail rabbits, jack rabbits, antelope, elk, mountain lions, a few years ago there was a wolverine, rattlesnakes, bull snakes, 5 species of garter snakes, gophers (Richardson's ground squirrels), stripped ground squirrels, red tail hawks, golden eagles, bald eagles, turkey buzzards, great horned owls, screech owls, magpies, crows, ravens, Canada geese, sand-hill cranes, mallard ducks, mud turtles, rainbow, brook and brown trout, cows and horses plus an occasional moose.

There are dears but no such thing as deers. Those are only deer no matter how many eat your garden, your roses and any and every shrub in the yard. They do taste great in a stew or when made into sausage though. Easy to shoot too. Especially when they're hungry and start in on the roses by the patio. Oh yeah, you asked about the creek. It's dry dearie. We haven't had rain in so long that the lake is forty feet low.

I have one right behind my house. The only exciting thing that comes by the creek is a possum and lots of water.

Yes. Creek runs through the neighborhood, so nothing big; mainly small animals, frogs, bugs, fish, etc. The one thing I do like about it, is sitting in the backyard and listening to the frogs and the hoot owl.

When I was growing up, I played in creeks and wondered through the woods. It was a great childhood.
