I need to know how did the Social Security Act provide security to americans? i forgot my history book and need help please!!

The primary reason for the Socal Security Act was to get people out of the workforce. If people were "retired," they were no longer "unemployed." And the older people who were employed had incentive to retire, allowing younger people to take the jobs, which reduced the unemployment rate even more.
