This term is more used for people doing aaembagle of artirtry skills and media, therev is a nice list of those on almost any art school in the world.

rauschenberg(broke the whole abstract movement....gave way to pop-art)...basquiat(was apart of pop-art along w/ kieth haring, and andy warhol),nik daum(hes pretty recent...does a lot of design -work ,he has a website also)
