Most credible scientists say that it does. Most of the ones who say it doesn't tend to work for oil companies and others who emit greenhouse gases....just remember that the tobacco companies did not admit that smoking was harmful until a short while ago. The reason that so many Americans are confused about this is that the Bush White House denied global warming because it is supported by the companies that pollute and oil companies. Also because Bush didn't really support environmental causes or treaties that would place any restrictions on the industries that gave him political contributions. Recently he has done an about face, partly because he doesn't need political money any more, and there is overwhelming evidence that global warming is real. There are many scientists that are now saying that it is also irreversible.

For 4 bucks you can rent "an inconvenient truth" and decide for yourself. In the end there is no excuse for not taking care of our planet, regardless of the issue.

The basics are 99% of all scientific studies suggest global warming, but 53% of new articles suggest it's all in our heads. Hmmmm, sounds like the media loves a controversy.

It is a common debate. People do not want to think that they could be the cause of such an enormous disaster that is going on, but it is real, whether it is a natural phenomenon or caused by us humans, and we have to work together on ways to stop it from getting worse. The best way is to educate people and let them know the real truth.
