Write about what your interested, it could be war in the future or a peace era in the past with poverty problems. If I have trouble with any writing I will usually go for fiction wars in the future or a conlict between two protagonists who never get to meet each other because of so and so. Or last resort write about two best friends fighting over a girl they loved, who likes someone else anyway. Try to broaden what your looking for. Good Luck!

there are 2 ways about it IMO & both can work hand in hand. first off, write aobut what you know. like the people around you if you want true stories or take ideas/themes you get off people & write a fictional story, much like what the media does these days lol.
secondly, if you're good at remembering your dreams try to work the more interesting ones into stories when you wake up. often, people dream about thigns from their life so it would work well with the frist thing i said...

It's something you have to decide. If it's ideas you want, read alot of books, watch alot of movies, etc. You can't ask other people to do it for you.
...but I do like books with alot of death and mentally deteriorating characters.
