Yesterday it was in the news that the US is going to meet with Iran and syria to talk about Iraq. This is extremely important because it allows for some doors to dialog to open up between countries that have been at odds for a long long time. But then along comes Russia bashing the US warning not to take military action against Iran. I find this timming very very unfortunate. I know alot of you will not see the connection here at all.. itll go right over your heads. But id like to hear from one or two knowledgeable in world events what they think about the timming of russia's words and what they are trying to do. Do you think that it was a nod towards iran to give them a little edge going into these talks?

Russia wants to put us at a disavantage & build up Iran & Syria. I think talking to either regime is wrong. They are both terrorists.

Russian is under contract to supply Iran with fuel and tech for their reactor program. The NeoCons took advantage under W to fill the vacuum left when Soviet Union dissolved by forging in to the Middle East and throwing their weight around. Putin has been very critical of this agressive behavior towards the region, and their support for Iran is warranted, but cautious, as they are cooperating with the anti-weapon aspect of their nuclear deal with Iran. Most serious nuclear powers are well aware of the danger of this technology, perhaps the Russians most of all after Cherhnobyl. But, they are not happy to sit by and watch BushOilCo take over the Middle East, especially with so much violence. There are bigger games involved as well, as the world Houses are still playing tug of war over the future, and it is hard to tell who is on who's side as that plays out.

This whole summit may not even happen now as the big 5 of the UN Security Council are to attend which Iran may use as an excuse to back out.

Nations do this all the time. Russia and China have been working against us through these subtle messages for some time, and it will only get worse as Russia benefits from oil wealth and China's economy grows.

We need to ask ourselves how we want to deal with these nations who aren't really our enemies, but definitely aren't friends.

Iran and Russia will partner up against Israel eventually. But the answer to your question is yes they are working together and have been for awhile.

The US is down right now.
Old enemys kick us when we are down,
what better time!
They should tread lightly though,
Hopefully we will get out of Iraq, the sooner the better!

Very good pickup, and yes, I wondered the same. These are very serious times. I fear there are far too few who understand the implications of such things.
