Okay, first of all, STOP picking at your pimples. Bacteria spreads when you pick at them, causing more to appear on your face, not to mention scars and even holes in your face. Wash your face daily, no more than twice. Washing your face repeatedly will irritate your skin more and cause more breakouts. Apply acne crème or lotion that contains benzoyl peroxide, which will help dry out and treat your pimples. (I recommend using Proactiv, but you can find some over-the-counter products that work.) You can use makeup for coverage, but don`t use too much, it`ll clog your pores and again cause you to break out. If you do use makeup, make sure you wash it off completely and again treat your skin with benzoyl peroxide crème or lotion ; which you can apply up to many times as you want. Just make sure you`re not allergic to it. If you are, try something that is not as strong such as silic acid.

All you have to do is think about what you're gonna look like after you've picked your pimples. The pimples turn redder and redder and will be more noticable. It actually is not that hard of a habit to break. All you have to do is put your mind to it and remember that your face will look 10x worse with the picked pimples, because picked pimples lead to scars. You don't want a scarred face, do you? Also, wash your face 2-3 times a day if you don't already. Your face will start looking a lot better and you'll totally realize the difference. Hope this helps!

The only way you cant get rid of them is to STOP touching your face and use some acne products your doctor gives you. If you dont have the time to wait for the acne to go away, use some makeup. It works really well. And as for the habit, just find something to do with your hands. Maybe get one of those puzzle things where you try to match the colors.

force yourself to resist picking by noting to yourself that you'll NEVER have good skin, and it will be your own fault from your scarring where the zits once were from picking and popping!!! its true- you need to stop popping to prevent scars. use brand products that you can easily purchase at a drugstore near you, like Clearasil acne and blackhead pads to help rid of the acne faster. use no oil nuetrogena face wash every morning and night. make sure that you do not touch your face in oily or dry spots too often either, which can cause your pores to become infected, which lead to a whole little patch of acne. use ELF oil absorbent pads from ELF.com to stop an oily face. use exfoliating creams that won't make you break out ( i can't really tell you any brands, even though there are many, like neutrogena, because it depends on how sensitive your skin is!), and exfoliate dry spots. good luck!!!

o i had acne too. it was a real pain. first stop picking i used to and now have ugly scars. and your acne is bad from picking it. when u pick at acne the oil spreads and it causes more breakouts. which suck. stop picking and try using an oil free soap like the Neutragena oil free soaps and cleanse your face in the morning and at night. this will keep the oil levels lower. if you can see a dermatologist to get something stronger prescribed but all Neutragena products seem to work well. good luck

Remember....It may look bad know, but if you pick at it, it may leave a scar that will be equally bad and totally permanent. I have a similar problem, and It's just a matter of discipline. Your body has it's own natural way of healing. Picking at acne is like strip mining your face. DON'T wash TOO often, or your skin will dry out, and when your skin puts even more oil onto your skin to fix the problem, it will get worse.

-good luck!?

I put acne cream on my pimple 3-6-5. For a while, I had my skin cleared enough to be able to cover it with my makeup. I like that.

I have the same problem. I just try to do something else that keeps my hands busy when I have the urge to pick at them, such as brushing my teeth or something. I know that seems kind of weird, but it helps me. And if you cut soda and other syrup-y drinks out of your diet and replace them with clear liquids like water and fruit juice, your face will be alot clearer, therefore stoping your picking habit. =o]

You have to just stop. Realize that you are making your problem worse.
Just keep you skin clean and moisturized. Also use sun protection.
I like using Clinque's pimple night treatment. You put it on before you sleep (after you've cleaned your face) and you wake to a visibly reduced pimple.
LOVES IT!

I use that Acne Free face wash twice a day and I drink lots of water ( instead of sodas) I also dont use any foundation it makes my face greasy and it defeats the purpose of using the acne scrub.
