But yeah, I like lace decor (very restrained!) because it has a genuine, timeless beauty. It isn't faddish. Some may consider it old-fashioned, but I think if you're not spreading it all over everything, an occasional piece can elicit an exclamation of true appreciation from your guests.

yes my mom has alot of doilies in her house that my grandma did make but they look really modern and not old-fashioned. they are very simple and feminine

i bought a bunch of doilies from good will and am planning on making them into a scarf of some kind. i think they are pretty.
