Ok, I do horse rescue and have one I must re-home...she is healthy and ready to go, but I've had an ad up for a long time with no responses...I was curious if you could give me helpful critique to improve her chances of finding a really good home? She is a sweet beautiful young lady and deserves the best home possible:
here it is:
Ok, it wouldn't let me put the whole thing, so here is the link..you can see the picts of her too.
thanks so much in advance.

You are all right, the picts are bad, unfortunately they are all I have till spring...but I do take your advice to heart.
btw, I don't adopt to outside states as a rule because it prevents scammers and because it is standard rescue rules to adopt closely so home inspection can be done. (l Know, but I've had folks with horrible fencing and no room try to adopt my rescues) THey tell you they have a nice place and then you go out and they have barbed wire and it's falling down everywhere!

I would suggest getting some much clearer, brighter colors. Brush her up good, put on tack that is bright or contrasty against her coat. Show her with someone on her back. Have a good headshot that doesn't make her look like she has a real big head or real long nose (hard to do), and no "deer eyed" or "red-eye" look in any shots, either. Show her interacting with another person, like eating from their hand, which shows gentleness. Your write-up is good and direct with facts, which is what is needed. You may want to emphasize some personality trait that may tug at someone's heart (you said she likes to nicker when people are around, that is a good example).
Just sell her like you'd like to read about her. Pretend you are the buyer - what would be the key phrase that would make you want to buy her?

Pictures are lousy. You can barely see the horse. You might consider putting up your own web page. That page you are advertising on is very distracting. There are too many things going on in a small space. And as far as the price goes since she is unregistered, I think you should drop it to $600.
If you want to review a fabulous website that gets all sorts of action, try: www.savethehorse.com
Make sure you don't type an s at the end of horse because that is a totally different rescue.

First off, I commend you for taking her on. I rescue horses as well and know that it's very difficult.
With the horse market being what it is, you may have a hard time finding someone to take her considering she hasn't been backed, is unsure of people, and is still underweight. I would NOT recommend her for a young person as she might need an experienced trainer to help her get some confidence. (I would highly recommend some of the Clinton Anderson techniques with her).
Consider calling your vet and farrier and just looking for a good home for her vs. trying to sell her. It may be a better situation.
Based on the pics you have shown (and it's hard to tell because of the quality), she still may have some underlying health issues that may need to be treated as her coat still isn't looking that great. Are you supplementing with any oil to help her coat get some of it's shiny-ness back?

Honestly? The pictures could be better, but that isn't the reason. Full blood registered Arabs, trained, with great bloodlines, aren't moving that well in the sales area. I think the market is just down for horses in general. Have you listed in dreamhorse or equine.com as well? She's too small for me as well, but I love a challenge like this one! Good luck!

The ad reads great, plenty of info. Maybe you could get some different pictures. The dark background doesn't do the dark mare justice.
Hope you find a good home for her. Spring is just around the corner!

I agree with better pictures. Try getting them when the sun is shining on her. You may also have to broaden your sale limits to surrounding states. And spring is when people buy horses, so wait for warm weather.

The ad seems fine. You could try posting it on a lot of different websites, though.. equine.com? There are a lot. She's a beautiful horse.
Good luck!!!

Gods she's young to have been through that already.
The ad looks fantastic. It's just hard sometimes to sell a horse that's been through issues like that. =) Good luck.
