It depends on the type of food you want. For cafeteria-style, the absolute best is actually in Mooresville, but it's worth the trip--Gray Brothers. Their fried chicken and strawberry pie especially are fantastic. For seafood, you can never go wrong with Red Lobster. Ruth Crisp Steakhouse is consistently rated one of the best in Indianapolis.

Indianapolis is frequently a sequence eating place place. in case you're in Northern Indy i could pass to b.d.s or Joe's Crab Shack. If East Indy your perfect guess is Damon's. Downtown has extra nicely-widespread chains, of which complicated Rock is the perfect by utilising default.

Well, I'd make the drive to Gnaw Bone, it's right between Columbus and Brown County State Park, for the best tenderloin in the state.
Second, in Indy, I'd eat at the Farmer's Market when it's in session. Fresh veggies and other goods right from the farm! Plus kettle corn!
Finally-the Fair. Marion County, any surrounding county, or the State Fair. Have to love fair food.
Edit: Okay, two of my favorite restaurants are Thai Spice just north of Greenwood and Santorini's Greek Kitchen in Fountain Square. Please, chain restaurants are not usually great, although they tend to have consistently decent food.
