Despite what these people are saying, A Gamer is simply someone who has a big love for video games of any kind. Computer or Consloe alike. They don't have to be great but just have a passion for playing and usually plays a good deal.

also, a gamer is someone who plays real video games.
not chess, portable systems, or the Wii.
some people say a gamer is someone who is good at playing them. but that would mean that that loser can play Halo all day long but if he sucks at the game, he isn't a gamer, despite his obsession.

A gamer is a person who love to compete all the time. Doesn't quit very easily. Very enthusiastic in the sport he or she is playing.
