how old do you think you should be to get a tattoo and what do you think it should be

The age you are allowed varries from place to place, someone said it's 18 in Ontario, In Newfounland it's 16. Personally I think there should be a wait period for tattoos. I don't think 18 is too young but you should have to make an appointment a month or more in advance and you should have the design approved then, and again a month later. That way you have a bit of time to look at the image every day for at least a month, and you can decide if you really like it. Also it would cut down on insidence like two of my friends had. "lets go gat matching tattoos!" within a week they were kind of regretting the whole idea.
I know it's not really a practical idea, but I still think it sounds good in theory.
The only reason I havn't gotten a tattoo is because I don't trust the tattoo artist's I've seen too many tattoos that were just horrible, being an art student I guess I see more then most people and if I had one and it wasn't perfect I'd hate it.
Anyone getting a tattoo should get one that suits them. one that really reflects their personality. A big burly man would look stupid with a fairy princess tattoo just like a dainty prep girl looks stupid with thick tribal work

I think you should be at least 21 at the youngest. Here in Ontario you can get a tattoo at age 18 but I think that's a bit young to know what you really want. As for what to get, it should be something meaningful and tasteful. It will be with you for life unless you get it removed ( and that is painful!) So think of what you want on your body when you are 80.

see i think u should be 18 and older because i saw a show when these 14 15 16 year old got a tattoo and they were so Daisey they past out . see when I'm 18 I'm getting my name in Mexican or a different language

It's a very permanent decision that you will have to live with the rest of your life. The things you think are cool at 18 will more than likely not be the things you like later on. I think at 25 a person knows what he wants. Think hard on what to get becasue it will say alot about your character to whoever sees it.

I think 18 is when you can get them but I've seen people in high school with tattoos too....depends really what you like ......maybe dragons or your girlfriend name?

your supposed be 18 to get it alone but your parent can be there if you are not 18. it should be of alladin. he is cooool

i got mine @21. never regret once. so i think 20yrs and above.
