I'm all for them. It eliminates the pressure of name brands. Also severely restricts the ability of gangs to represent their "colors." At the end of the day, it simplifies life for the students because their appearance is not so big a factor in their lives. They all look the same... In theory, that's more brain space freed up for education...
In theory...

No, I don't agree. We have (white shirt/blue bottoms) uniforms at my (low income) school, and it is more trouble than it's worth. It definitely has not made a difference in the morale or in achievement.
The poorest children have only one basic uniform, which does not get washed often enough. And even when it's washed, it looks dirty. Hand-me-downs from older siblings are full of holes or fit poorly.
The more well-to-do kids have more than one uniform, and are also able to get the more expensive preppie versions. The sixth grade girls are still able to hike up their skirts like we used to do way back in Catholic school.
The little gang bangers still have ways to show their affiliation by the way they wear their uniforms.
And the teachers have to police them.

I think it's a good idea.My kids r in public school n have recently turned into a uniform school n it is really good.U never get kids judging each other for how much things they where costs or how they dress etc....No matter what you have to get new cloths for the child each yr so as long as it is affordable for everyone then all schools should have it as well as teachers ,that way no problems with strangers.Well have a great wk.

My wager is that the college despatched residing house the transgendered baby for his or her own probability-free practices. toddlers and childrens take no prisoners at the same time as it contains themes like this. Having said all that i do not trust a comprehend the Q. NO discern would willingly deliver a baby to college dressed interior the garments of the different gender. further to this i'd advise that a school elderly baby isn't mature sufficient to make a call jointly with this about his/her sexuality. On stability i imagine you're trolling.

yes, because perhaps itll have kids not trying to "fit in" all the time and allow them to focus more on their studies. it may force the parents to spend money, but then again, the parents wont have to spend more money to buy a larger variety of clothes. it keeps them from depicting obscene or unappropriate images and spreading negative pictures or ideas. it also stops people from judging kids due to how they dress during a first impression.
no, clothes expresses a kids feelings at times. its rather wrong to restrain their freedom. besides, even if the kids dont focus on the fashions of their clothes, they might be more concerned about their hair style, or any other possible trends. what if the parents have a tight budget? its just unnecessary cause many schools are still doing well w/o uniforms
its all in the mather of your perspective. :]

I think they're a good idea. Keeps everybody on the same level and lets kids focus on learning not on who has the latest clothes. Also elminates problems with kids wearing "indecent" clothing to school.

yes.. uniform symbolises the identity of the school. but i feel that uniforms should be designed in more creative ways, rather than plain, dark colours.

i don't think students should have to wear uniforms only because it is making the parents spend more money and causes more problems in students life.plus they are hideous and as long as students dress decently who cares?
