I have been the victim of a "bait and switch" scam by a loan officer. To which federal agencies/watchdog groups can I go to to complain/to get help?

THANKS!!!

Most states have a Department Of Professional Regulations or a Office of Banks and Real Estate. They usually have a downloadable complaint form right on their website.

Good luck!

Go to your states website they should have something on the site for banking and lending. Here in the state of Kansas mortgage brokers are under the Office of the State Banking Commissioner. Sorry you had to go through that not all loan officers are scam artist.

Best place to start would be with your states attorney general's office. Good luck and spread the word, I too know someone who fell prey to a predator.

In California, lenders are licensed by the Department of Corporations. Find out what department in your state licenses lenders and complain to them.
