It's true that America is not as socialist as Europe but, unfortunately, we have been a socialist country since FDR blew off the people that voted for him and adopted the American Socialist Party's platform plank by plank and renamed it the "New Deal". The ASP's candidate got less then 8% of the vote! We're only missing one pillar of Communism, a disarmed public. The first thing we would have to do is stamp it out in the USA, especially since our largest trading partners (EU, Canada, and China) are highly socialist and the European countries are important allies. As far as military action, it has been rare that an invader changes someone's mind unless they are extremely ruthless (like the Arabs' invasion of the Christian Middle East during the dark ages) and that will not happen in a republic like the USA (nor should it). Then there's the other aspect. Unless there is a significant effect on Americans' safety or the economy, what is done in another country is none of our business. The current frictions between many countries and the USA have more to do with our constantly trying to ram our beliefs down other cultures' throats then anything else. It doesn't matter which party is in power - that is what we do and it makes other countries nervous that we might be taking the old, time tested path of imperialism.

It is the same old story as in ages past. It is an attempt for the elite to maintain control. Socialism is no different than the European/ monarchical/feudal system to which the United States was a refreshing relief. The best thing we can do is to educate the world to the benefit on liberty and true economic freedom.

America is pretty close to a socialist state as it is. thats one of the problems with this country. The real issue would be stamping it out here first.

Let the socialists live in their own mess. Most people would prefer Democracy, if given the choice, however there are some who like depending on their government for everything.

You can have democracy and socialism. We have neither. We have a republic and capitalism. It's none of our business how others run their countries.
