Because marriage is divinely ordained for the betterment of mankind and prostitution is destructive, just read an article that in Shanghai AIDS is up 70% this year due to high risk sex with prostitutes

Historically prostitution was legal at one time. The main reason it is no longer legal is that women have the right to participate in government. For women prostitution is tant amount to slavery. It treats women like property to be bought, sold, or traded. If think about it, at one time women were either your wife, your mistress, or your whore, and it was better for you if they were your whore because men would just have sex with a whore and be done with it. If they found out the woman was your wife then they had to kill you to avoid being executed for adultery. In the US in the eighteen hundreds suffrogates went after prostitution as they went after slavery to set up their campaign to get equal rights for women. In oter countries the act of prostitution is still legal. Denmark , for example has a booming prostitution market. So you are really talking about a country to country thing and in the US the fact is that women used to go to brothels and tell prostitutes to change their ways or they would have them run out of town

Don't get crazy about this, but is marriage really legal? We have a lot of separation of church and state...but, in order to marry one must buy a license from a governmental place and then take it to the church to then be married in the eyes of God. I say we cut out the middle man and get married in the eyes of God. Why the license? huh? I want prayer back in schools, too. We are shoving God out of our world and replacing him with useless documents. Prostitution is legal in some parts of Nevada. I believe 55 miles outside of the Vegas area it is legal. How do I know this? I just watched a tv show today about it.

Once upon a time women were considered weaker than men; men of course did not need analysis because they were perfect already - they still are ...ask one ! However as women argued for "equal rights" (something human beings are quite incapable of) men who do not like to be over looked started arguing that each of them had a right to sexual gratification regardless of marriage, or women being equal. Not getting married is a part of that self made right men now have created for themselves and justifies for them the lying to their wives and believe it or not to their mistresses, girl friends and I understand to each other. Women are more stupid than men; they believe them !
Prostitution is the oldest profession in history, making it illegal does not prevent V.D.. Men with no regard for anyone, not even themselves, sleep around and then go home to their wives infected.
The solution is of course masturbation - something men consider is a sin, or makes them weak. If this gender is incapable of committing himself to one relationship, to love, care, responsibility, fatherhood then I consider it to be a blessing from God and for the future of mankind that this gender has been given his metaphorical right hand to satisfy himself without destroying the human species. And they keep telling me they are so perfect. ...how nice for them.

Besides all the factual truancy's , lets face it, the government has control over the income tax of a marriage arrangement and has no control over prostitution since that business is money under the table , hence "ILLEGAL ".

Prostitution destroys human dignity and corrupts society. It is a very dangerous profession. Moreover, the retirement plan isn't all that great. A good marriage, on the other hand, contributes to the betterment of society. It socializes children and creates meaningful bonds between men and women. Duh!

I think it is wrong to make something illegal to sell, that you can give away to anyone you want to,whenever you want to.
Marriage is a contract with your partner and god.....contracts have to be drawn up and witnessed etc....therfore be "legal."
