Who thinks it's likely, and why?

I think it's very likely, and for the very same reason Bush illegally and unconstitutionally invaded Iraq: OIL.
Iraq and Iran have billions of barrels of easily-accessible, cheap OIL - and Bush & Cheney's buddies at Exxon-Mobil can continue to feed American motorists' dependency on OIL and make billions for themselves in the process.
That's what Iraq and Iran is all about: OIL. The Bush administration doesn't give a tinker's damn about bringing 'democracy' to those countries. I predict that Bush will invade Iran by the spring of 2007 - or as soon as his handlers can come up with a viable, logical reason to do so that the Bush 'ditto heads' will buy (weapons of mass destruction won't work again; Bush will have to come up with another excuse). -RKO-

I dont look for a full out invasion of Iran like with Iraq and Afghanistan, but i do look for a limited exchange-with America bombing key targets in Iran. Thing is the Iranians wont sit back and take this, chances are they will retaliate by attempting to strike at American bases in Iraq, which could lead to a further escalation of the conflict.
Iran wont be pushovers. Unlike Iraq and Afghanistian, Iran actually has a air force and navy.
But...we can take them.

I would be quite pleased with a first gulf war type strike. Quick and easy, mostly without troops on the ground. Don't worry about taking the country or "rebuilding." Just mess em up a little and take out Ahmadinejad.

definately......they are trying to convert US $ to Euro which would crash our economy....also a near future nuclear threat funded by Putin in Russia !!
