I watched this a long time ago and the plot is basically this: A group of terrorists rob a national bank in new york city and they get like a ridiculous amount of gold and then they threaten to dump it in a river and they make the cops think they actually DID dump it. The people might not be terrorist but separatits, trying to start their own country. Thanks in advance guys.

In Diehard they threatened to blow up the barge and not throw it in the river but everything else sounds like the plot from Diehard.

I was totally thinking Diehard: With A Vengence" but that might not be it. can you remember any of the actors?
