Fade To Black

--------------------------------------------------------------

Life it seems, will fade away
Drifting further every day
Getting lost within myself
Nothing matters no one else
I have lost the will to live
Simply nothing more to give
There is nothing more for me
Need the end to set me free

Things are not what they used to be
Missing one inside of me
Deathly lost, this can't be real
Cannot stand this hell I feel
Emptiness is filing me
To the point of agony
Growing darkness taking dawn
I was me, but now He's gone

No one but me can save myself, but it to late
Now I can't think, think why I should even try
Yesterday seems as though it never existed
Death Greets me warm, now I will just say good-bye

I know that there are a lot of people in this world walking around as if they were dead. Hating every waking moment, wishing that a boulder would fall out of the sky and fall on you because then at least people couldn't say you killed your self. I would tell you that life is truly what you make of it. If you want to be depressed you will be and if you want to be happy you will be. I know its a crazy thing to say, and you might respond by saying "of course I want to be happy". But what happens to us when we feel a certain way for along period of time is our body gets used to that feeling and thinks it is normal. So if you have felt like this for a while your biochemistry thinks nothing is wrong. The best way to get out of this mess is to give thanks for everything that is good in your life. If you feel they're is nothing good in your life then be thankful for what is good in a loved ones life. We must learn to love our selves and others even when our lives seem to be a cruel joke. Even when someone is making fun of you, realize that this person is making fun of you because they hate them selves and forgive them, you don't have to say out loud "I forgive you". Just realize in your mind where this destructive energy is coming from and meet it with compassion. When you start to meet your troubles with compassion you will be on the road to true joy.

If you are asking for poetry critique, I applaud your excising these emotions by expressing them. All of us deal with this despair at one time or another. You executed the poem wonderfully. You took me deep inside of the despair - and resonated with my memory.

If you are asking for emotional assistance, then, dear one - reach out in your real world. Call someone tonight - whether it is a friend, relative, coworker, teacher, emergency services, or a crisis hotline.

The one true thing is that death is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. If you end things - then there will surely be a life in the future that will suffer for not have being able to meet you.

I know in my own life that the only salvation from deep depression was my personal faith. I wanted to end things many times - but I had Jesus to cry out to. You need to hang on, hon. You are clearly talented. Your words reach my heart. That is a gift that should never be taken from the earth. You should not allow depression or despair rob the world of the gift that is YOU.

Avoid drugs or alcohol. They will only make the pain increase - not decrease.

There is peace.
I promise.
Hang on. --De

"Be still, sad heart! and cease repining
Behind the clouds is the sun still shining
Thy fate is the common fate of all
Into each life some rain must fall
Some days must be dark and dreary..."

-Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (The Rainy Day)

I liked the poem. If it is, in fact, your words expressing your true emotional state, then I applaud your effort.

Please don’t misunderstand this as advocating suicide –
On the bright side, if you choose to end your life, you will have plenty of other opportunities to learn how to deal with the circumstances that are depressing you, (IE. reincarnation).

On the down side, you will be forced to keep encountering the same type of circumstances that are causing you depression until you learn how to deal with them, (IE. reincarnation).

The best remedy for sadness is go out and do something nice for someone else, stop thinking of ourselves and think of how you can help another! By the way great poem!

~Geez, if the "poem" is an example of your creativity, it's no wonder you're depressed. Try some Soma.
