How old do you have to be to swim in the Olympics? I'm 13 so let's say I made the Olympics times for the 2008 Olympics. Would I be able to swim?

Swimming in Olympics isnt about age but your times and ability. Im sure you'll have to have a guardian though, but if you qualify in the top heat for the Olympic trials, then you should make it. No matter if your 6 or 60 though, they'll test your bodies to make sure what you put in it is legit.
You coach should be able to help you out too with more info.

There is no age limit, in fact, it is not uncommon to see teenage women swim in the olympics. If you were 13 and made the time you could be on the team.

There is absolutely no age limit. i'm COMPLETELY sure of it, because i swim too. Michael Phelps made the Olympic Swim team at age 14. and so did Katie Hoff.

There is no age limitation in regards to compete in swimming. If you qualify in your meet, you would be able to compete. I believe Amanda Beard was 14 when she started competing in the Olympics. If you are truly interested go to www.usaswimming.org.

absolutely no age limit. you just have to qualify in provincial (or state) championships, make your nationals level, then make the official nationals team, then try for your country's olympic team. some swimmers were 17 when they were in the olympics.

yes as young as 14!! you could if your times qualify.. but most people do not try to get in until they are 18 after they have had more experience in life..
