After World War I opponents to League of Nations: Strongest, such Sen. William Borah of Idaho, and other Isolationists. More moderate was Sen. Henry Cabot Lodge of Massachusetts he favored "reservations" to the League, but as chairman of the foreign relations committee was the one figure most responsible for the defeat of Wilson's League of Nations.

He ran against Teddy Roosevelt and Taft.

Taft was a terrible president, though, and I would consider him more of an enemy than Roosevelt. Roosevelt just wanted to fix the government after Taft screwed it up. However, I must give Taft credit for trust-busting almost double the amount of big business than Roosevelt had. But Taft also took back tons of acres of land set aside for conservation that Roosevelt had laid out.

Taft, and teddy r didnt want taft to win so he joined to split their parties vote which helped wilson. we just covered it in history
