i cut myself for ten years, your fears are real, sometimes infections happen, and people go to far,

one thing you can do is just accept her, accept what she is doing and nage her about keeping the wounds clean. i know that seems kinda lame, but it shows that you UNDERSTAND that she needs to do it right now, and that you are a supportive bystander

she probably will feel attacked if you ask her to stop, she is doing it because it helps, although you dont understand it, it really helps,

so to get her to stop.... well not as easy, i think the only thing you can do to help that is to talk privatly with her mother or father
(whoever is the most reasonable) you can have your mom or dad call her mom or dad and hand the phone to you so you can simply tell them that you are concerned, and that you feel its probably a parent job not a freind job to step in

i know that seems really cruel, and she might not be to pleased with you for a little bit, but she will get over it and may get some help learning new ways to cope with some of that stress

good luck

I know this may sound odd, but there is a huge difference between cutting to express emotion and cutting to kill yourself. Your friend sounds like she's cutting because she has no other way of expressing herself. Regardless of whether or not she's on the route to suicide, she does need help. If it means going behind her back to get that help for her, you need to be able to make sacrifices. She might get mad at you now, but she'll thank you later. Trust me on this one. My arms tell a long story.

human beings decrease themselves on the wrists as that's an uncomplicated approach of suicide the place a deep decrease is made commencing out of your wrist below your thumb joint and then alongside following the veins down your arm. it is the place it comes from and is finished by potential of self harmers etc, they are oftentimes human beings attempting to kill themselves yet not being waiting to do it leaving cuts on their wrists.

I know what you're going through... but honestly, theres not much YOU can do for her. She has to want to stop on her own. Its like forcing her to not do something shes accustomed to (even though its really bad for her). Have a long serious talk with her, and let her tell you whats on her mind. Support her, but let her know, what shes doing is WRONG, and there are other options!
Good Luck; hope this helps

Lord, Get her some Help fast before she does Kill herself. My daughter was a cutter also, she is now on Bi-Polar medicine and it has really helped. Does her Mom or dad care about her? If so YOU go talk to them because I am sure shes not going to and they need to get her some help FAST.

You need to be a friend to her more than ever right now. And somehow, someway you need to get her to talk to someone. She needs help if she is doing this? Don't turn your back on her because then something bad might happen.

she might not like it or get mad at you, but i would notify her mother father who ever school counselor some one who can get her real help it really doesn't matter if she gets mad at you cause in reality it really wont matter if she cuts in the wrong place and bleeds to death and then you live with the fact that you may have been able to prevent it

cutting yourself is a sign of severe depression and sometimes suicidal tendencies. heres what u do, dont leave her by herself and get all her friends together and make sure she knows that you all love her and care, with enough attention maybe shell become happy once again.

I know you dont want to be a tatle tale, but you should tell someone. Her parents, a teacher she trusts? You will never forgive yourself if she kills herself and you did nothing about it.
