I'm a very hard working student. I'm currently in grade 11 and I'm seriously having a tough time in my second semester. So far, I was lucky enough to receive a 90% average in my first semester. But, in general, my brain isn't very ...brilliant. I try everything as possible. Whenever there's a test, I would recreate a test according to all of my notes and articles and the textbook's content and add tricky question without actually knowing the answer right away, and later on, I would practice and practice and read through my materials again until I fall dead asleep on my couch. In the end, despite my effort, I still don't get what I want. I want to help my critical thinking and logical skills, but I don't know what it takes to build that sort of skill! I'm NOT a 90% student, I vary from 70-mid80's... my worst subject is math, and then English. My strongest subject is art. I'm female, so that might give in some clues to lesser logic than males, but still, please someone help me!!!!

Get a tutor. They can help you find tricks to help you remember things and often help bring up your grades. Just having one-on-one help can do a lot...you could be making mistakes you don't even know about that are causing you to get lower grades. My mom's a math tutor and sometimes students who were failing majorly end up doing pretty well on tests. Where do you live? Maybe she can help you. :-) You could also ask a friend or other student who gets all As in that subject to help you. Talk to your guidance counselor about finding a tutor-=they should have a list of names. Good luck!

Well, let me tell you how I do it. As a college student, the best thing is to enjoy your studies. However, if you are studying something that you hate then just focus on what the teacher is going over during class and just study that. Don't worry dude, you're doing fine! At least your trying.

what your problem is , is that you stress out too much! what you do is study a little bit each day and have a friend help you study. don't try to cram it in all in one night . but when it is the nite before the test. go over your nites, skim over the chapter and if music helps you relax listen to it while you are going over a couple of things. what also helps is if you you listen in class and try to understand then you won't have to study as much. you can't really study for a math test so what i do is go over the examples in the book read the steps and do a couple of problems to see if your doing them correctly.also when you are doing your homework don't take the easy way out of things. trust me these things help.

be passionate about your studies. don't delve too much on what grades you must get, but on what interests you are in and pursue it with vivacity and enjoyment. when you love your studies and homework, all else will follow--including better grades!
