YES!!!!
Marijuana isn't only a kick *** drug that is non addictive, but it can also help with so many problems. AIDS and Cancer patients use it to help with pain and sickness, could you imagine what else it could do? Not just that, if used responsibly, it is good to relax to. Most people will argue that, that's the problem, that people wont use it responsibly, but there are people that don't use alcohol and cigarettes responsibly, so maybe we should take away it all? I think if alcohol is legal, marijuana should be to. Alcohol impairs you more, and more people have died from it. Cigarettes too. I don't smoke cigarettes, drink, or do any other drugs. I started smoking in High School, gave it up for a few years, and started again. I don't let it run my life, I never buy any (just smoke others!) I'm not a drug dealer- my morals wont allow me to sell to people. Anyone that says its a gateway drug is full of sh*t. I think that people who try other drugs after trying marijuana are destined to try other things, it's not the marijuana that magically makes them want to try something else. If there was no marijuana, people would still be hooked to heroine. I might add more to this later.....

In my opinion, I believe that Marijuana should in fact be legalized. I agree with some of the points you mention, but for the most part I would say the reason why it should be legalized would be for medicinal purposes, it would help many people, and ease the pain of those who need it. As for 'recreational purposes' I think it should be taken in moderation IF/WHEN Ganja is legalized.

I would agree 100 times over that Marijuana's a step above alcohol.. yet it's still wrong.. wrong yet so satisfying lol.

Legalize weed damnit, we're already messed up as it is!!!

Marijuana - kills your brain, Alcohol - kills your liver.. it's like choosing the slowest death...

decriminalized yes. legalized no. you know how many people make a living off selling pot. if it were sold in stores the drug dealers would have to resort to selling harder drugs or something worse. also, there is no solid way to tell if someone is under the influence of weed while driving. much tax money would have to be spent on a program to test sobriety. on the other hand, if it were legalized, the government would have control over the potency and purity of the pot being sold. isn't much of a problem in b.c. but i've heard of dealers lacing weed with pcp and other substances that can seriously screw someone up. theres a lot to concider and i hardy want my tax dollars going to a bunch of government idiots debating this issue for the next few years. (i'm sure they are already spending the money this way but i don't want to think about it)

YES!!!! Legalize it and all drugs....tax the hell out of them. What goes on the street for 10$ have the government sell for 1000$. And have really stiff penalties....like 10 yrs in jail for 1st offense. An offense would be buying, selling, or having any drug that didnt come from the government. This way we can finally rid our society of those young pothead punks. But marijuana does have a place in medicine, so it should deff be legalized in that regard, but not for everyones use

there are various rationalization why Marijuana could be Legalized there are various motives That Marijuana could be Legalized Marijuana is a arguable undertaking in maximum everywhere interior the international. there are various rationalization why marijuana is known to be a arguable subject rely, be it the psychoactive outcomes on the strategies or the long term outcomes on the completed human physique. those subject concerns may well be argued with info of the useful outcomes of hashish sativa (marijuana) interior the human physique. additionally with the economic subject concerns of the drug as an business product. at the beginning, we are going to look on the assessment by potential of many between tobacco and marijuana. Marijuana whilst in comparison with tobacco is six situations extra depleating to the lungs, it is offset with the reality that tobacco is addicting bodily the place marijuana isn't. Marijuana smoked interior the comparable quantity as tobacco is extra delapitating to the physique, yet in view that marijuana isn't addictive bodily there is not a want for the comparable quantity to be smoked. this suggests purely that if a individual have been dependant on marijuana as they have been tobacco, then the marijuana might have one in all those profound actual effect. Secondly, there is an undermining cultural popularity of marijuana throughout i don't think of it fairly is going to likely be legalized however... i advise there are lots of nonsmoking places now ...they won't legalize marijuana whilst they are approximately to make tobbacco unlawful.

No. Marihuana should not be legalized becuse it's a psychoactive drug that works differently on people. While some may be okay after smoking it some will have adverse reactions to it. Me and people like me, can't smoke it because I'm bipolar and it makes me panic, paranoid, overly self concious and unstable. While people who choose to smoke it illegaly will have more than one reason to stop, legalizing it will just give people permission and an excuse to get away with irrational behaviour when what they really need is some meds. Since marihuana is most potent in the smallest amounts, and there is no way to measure a legal amount of TCH in the body, it will be harder for legislating laws on it's use unlike with alcohol.

Even though marihuana has a better track record than alcohol in fatalities it is usualy enjoyed at parties where there is alcohol present. Marihuana these days is grown with added chemicals that while intesify its effects, they are in no way natural and are harmful to your health. About tobbacco well that's an uphill war. I smoked cigarrettes until April of last year and I haven't felt better in 15 years. I renounce to put anything but air in my lungs.

Addiction is another reason it should not be legalized. I started with pot and moved on to LSD, cocaine, crack, Xanax, Roofies, and every combination of those.

Psychologicaly it clouds peoples minds to think differently than their sober selves, cluds the people who use it from their own karma which in turn changes their personalities. I had a smoking buddy whom I used to smoke with adn when he didn't have any he was irritable and mad. So he would get drunk instead. So he always needed it. He was addicted. He functions in society but only for himself. He doesn't have any sober friends or a girlfriend, and they rarely visit him because his house smells like pot and cats. I told myself being younger than them that I didn't want to become like my older druggy friends. And I realized I didn't really need them in my life and they didn't really deserved my friendship. So now it's ME TIME.

I know from my what I have seen that the biggest problem with pot is that it "de-motivates" people who use it. People who smoke pot have a harder time holding a job and committing to other necessary duties, such as paying bills, saving money, and supporting their families. I think that is the biggest drawback to it. I do believe it should be legal and made available to those with terminal conditions that need pain management.

It would make more sense if hemp was legal than booze. Ever herd of some guy smokin' a J and then go beat on his wife?

You're right that it is less harmful than alcohol...but that doesn't make it a good thing! I believe it needs to remain illegal, it ruins lives. At the same time, I believe alcohol should be illegal, it ruins way more!

This is kind of a pointless question, the non smokers like me will say no and the smokers will say yes. It's opinion, and it won't help you in any way. I'm not going to say the obvious reasons it shouldn't be legalized, you've heard them all. We all know both sides of the story.
