1) If the 40% expenses refer to 40% of the cost, that is:

expenses = $67.70(.4) = $27.08

If the selling price is cost + expenses + net profit:

selling price = $67.70 + $27.08 + $28.40 = $123.18

Not sure what you mean by markup, but assuming that it is everything other than the cost:

markup = $123.18 - $67.70 = $55.48

2) markup = $78.30(0.182857) = $14.32

original selling price = $78.30 + $14.32 = $92.62

discount = $92.62(0.19) = $17.60

discounted selling price = $92.62 - $17.60 = $75.02

sales tax = $75.02(0.03) = $2.25

amount billed = $75.02 + $2.25 = $77.27

3) markup = $66.50(0.364) = $24.21

original selling price = $66.50 + $24.21 = $90.71

discount = $90.71(0.19) = $17.23

discounted selling price = $90.71 - $17.23 = $73.48

Assuming profit is the discounted price - cost:

profit = $73.48 - $66.50 = $6.98

4) commision = ($2242 - $400)(0.30) = $552.60

gross earnings = salary + commision
= $101 + $552.60 = $653.60

Hope that you get some rest.
