I highly recommend San Diego...just because Vegas is soo geared towards adults now..Vegas pretty much sucks for anyone under the age of 6 and between the ages of 13-20. If you're 21+ obviously you can gamble, drink and do everything Vegas intended for you to do. If you're under 13..at least you can still get a kick out of Excalibur and Circus Circus entertainment without feeling like it's "too kiddy" for you. However, being that your baby is soo young..your baby will (no offense) just be a burden for you and your husband while you're trying to enjoy Vegas.
Go to san diego..hit up Disney land, Knotts Berry Farm, and/or Sea World..at least it's something you all can enjoy together (even though your baby may not remember any of it).

Well, I have done both with my daughter. When she was 3 months, we took her to Vegas and then to San Diego when she was 8 months. To tell you the truth, they don't care where they are. It's all about planning. You absolutely need a pack and play either place you go because I have found that hotel floors are the most disgusting place to let your kid crawl, although it probably isn't an issue yet. In Vegas, there are nanny services that you can let watch your kid in your hotel room for a four hour minimum and it will run you about $20-$35/hour. I went through Grandma Dotti's Babysitting (702) 456-1175. The lady that was sent over called and talked to me for a while so I could get to know her before I left my daughter with her. She was from the area I live and a military wife and she was very sweet and patient with my daughter. So one of the nights we were able to go see a show and hang out together and the other days/nights we were there we would do a lot of strolling/shopping and we would gamble in shifts. It was fun, but not really the Vegas experience it was pre-baby. San Diego was pretty fun because we went to the beach and the marinas and Sea World and an aquarium or two. It's hard to enjoy a nice dinner out though.
The baby is really going to enjoy the new sights and sounds either place you go, what should decide it is what you want out of the vacation and if you go to Vegas you're going to want at least one night baby-free. In San Diego, there's probably a lot more to do during the day if you don't mind skipping the night-life.

The baby will not remember where you go either way. However, YOU will, and in Las Vegas, you will be stuck in your hotel room most of the time. I would certainly go to San Diego if I were you. You and Hubby can have a very nice time there along with the little one, at the beach, shopping in old town, the zoo, Sea World, etc. Go to San Diego! Save Vegas for a time when you don't have the baby with you, or for her 21st birthday!

San Diego.
Las Vegas is not really kid-friendly. They're not allowed in the casinos, and many shows could be scary to them. San Diego has a zoo, Sea World, the beach, and a lot of other things to do.

I would not recommend Vegas with a 4 month old. If you go to San Diego, you can go to the beach, the zoo, etc. More family activities in San Diego than Vegas.

San Diego. Las Vegas is more for gamblers and partiers. San Diego would suit a 4 month old a lot better. Plenty of things to do! Have fun. :)

I have never been to San Diego but have been to Las Vegas and I would NOT recommend taking a child to Las Vegas. I mean, why would you want to. What would you do all day but stay in your hotel with the baby. YIKES. Certainly not my idea of a holiday. but hey there could be worse places i guess

I currently live in Las Vegas, NV and can tell you it is honestly not a place for kids. The strip is hectic (and usually) way too hot. Some (jerk) parents drop their kids off at Kids Quest *a babysitting service located in casinos*. Kids have been mistreated there.
San Diego is a place I am unfamiliar with but from what I've heard it is nice. Plus, they have Sea World!

Definitely San Diego! There are parks, Sea World, The Wild Animal Park and the World-Famous Zoo, botanical gardens...a lot of low-impact activities that are perfect for carting around a baby. Plus, it'll be nice and cool.
