how do you envision the digital dorm room in the year 2020? What kind of emerging or future technologies do you think students of the future will be utilizing? How will the student's academic and dorm life change in the future due to these technologies?

This is horribly cynical, but the college I go to spends thousands of dollars a year on GARDENS. THEN they renovate the education buildings. THEN they put new technology in the classrooms. Then... oops! Out of money. The dorms? Still crappy! Broken furniture, moldy bathrooms, and enough room to maybe throw your backpack on the ground and climb over your computer desk to your bed.
MAYBE if schools actually USE their money wisely, they'll start making technology available in the dorms, such as wireless internet for the entire building and all around better means of communications (our college relies HEAVILY on email... its almost creepy).
