Keep going with the relationship you guys have as friends and as you proceed just start acting like you really like her...
or just talk to her "properly" and tell her how you fell.

If you know that you truly like her, then develop a more serious relationship with her. But if you are afraid that it might not go well, don't risk making a good friendship awkward. If something goes wrong, you may never have the same kind of friendly relationship with her again. But you could always patch it up.
