the new deal was a series of programs the pressident developed to get the nation out of the great depression. They were mainly "make work projects" The government basically hired people to build roads, dams, bridges,..etc to stimulate growth via spending - getting money in peoples pockets so they could spend. TVA was one the highway somting or other was another look up FDR new deal on line - winapedia (sp) do some research lazy girl

tva tennessee valley authority built 16 dams and hydro electric power plants to bring power to the tennessee valley area.

cwa civil works admin. hired more than 4 million people in 4 months wanted to restore a mans honor by giving him checks not unemployment. they did things like rake leaves and stuff.

pwa -public works administration - created jobs nad builkt bridges, dams, hospitals, parks and etc.

wpa works progress administration - created more jobs ...

aaa - agricultural adjustment act- wanted farmers to grow less crops to help the price of them go up. it worked...

ccc civilian conservation corps - created jobs for young men, working in parks and such

NIRA - national industrial recovery act - designed for economic planning created the pwa and the Nra

NRA national recovery administration - designed to help business set "fair practice" and cooperate so the economy can stabilize
