I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you looking for a single word that is both plural and singular?

The word Deer is both.

Singular:
I saw a deer out by the edge of my field.

Plural:
I saw 30 deer out in the swamp just before dark.

Or are you wondering how plural and singular differ?

A plural word refers to more than one object; while a singular word refers to only one. Usually you simply add an 's' onto a singular word to make it plural. But if the word ends in a 'y', you have to change the 'y' to an 'i' and add 'es'.

For example,

normal word:
singular (computer)
Plural (computers)

word that ends in y:
singular (factory)
"the factory"
plural (factories)
"five factories"

Hope this helps

Singular is for one thing.
Plural is for more than one thing.
if the word ends with Y, you erase the Y and change it to ies (ex: lady to ladies)
but the common one is to add s after a the word.
