-Go out and help people, join a charity group or be a volunteer. Go to visit old and lonely people, visit the sick and lonely people in hospital. There are little you can do to change the world or their conditions, but being there or help the poor and the sick. We will find you are so lucky and happy just helping the one in need.
-Go outside to look at the nature, nature is beautiful. Simply go to the mountains or seasides, even look at the sky. Appreciate the beautiful environment and feel the happiness. When I am down, I will go to the seaside and look at the ocean, I feel all my worries and troubles are some small compare to the big ocean. The ocean seems absorb all my unhappiness.
-Family and friends are essential in life; they are a kind of good support system. When you have worries and doubts, talk to your good friends, they may not be able to help, but you will feel the ease already after voiced out. By talking about yourself to your friends, you will find you understand yourself more. Make sure spend time with your family and friends, listen to them. Just by listening and being there, you are already helping them.
-Exercise is a good way to release your stress. Take up regular exercises and you feel the refreshment.
-Recognize it is your choice to feel happy. You have the choice to feel happy or sad everyday, why not have a happy one.
-Talk to yourself that you can be a happy and positive person every morning.
-Watch funny movies and read jokes.

Well, the biggest change in my life, and the thing that's made me the happiest isn't something I particularly chose, but it's definitely made me happier then I have ever been before.
I had my daughter 7 months ago, and her existence was quite the surprise 9 months prior to that. I wasn't sure I was ready to be a mom- I wasn't sure if I could handle it or if it would come as 'second nature' as so many people told me it would. The only thing I knew is that it would be hard.
But what I didn't know is how much absolute joy I'd get from having her in my life. I was definitely right about it being hard work, but what I didn't know was how rewarding it would be. I'm a much better person as a whole- more compassionate, more caring, more inspired to be better.
Now, that's not to say that a kid is a cure-all to unhappiness... there are right times and places for everything and everyone differently. I was just lucky because the thing I didn't know I even wanted, was the thing I needed the most.
In terms of small things, I have changed the way I look at the world. Instead of seeing life as this hard road I have to travel, I just see the bumps as things I need to learn from, and I appreciate more the times when things are going smoothly.
Great question!

Everything depends on the type of person, some need financial part, some just spiritual and soulful. For me the last one matters more than anything else. I changed the way I look at, think about, and perceive the world. I just let my mind go out from the box, and be more open. I don't judge, talk about, laugh about people's mistakes like most of others do, because I realize we're just humans and can't avoid them. I try to place myself in other person's skin, I try to find a reason for everything and the most important-positive reason. It ,definitely, makes me happy when I see I made someone happy just by giving small present for no reason, helping at something, or just by giving a smile. Attitude is everything, and how you perceive is how you feel about life and yourself. If you believe world and people are beautiful, wonderful and amazing no matter what, it will really be, along with your life. By your example others can act the same way and learn, because we learn by what we see. Peace

Well I have tried a lot of things an nothing has made more happier than chanting the Maha Mantra (the great mantra for deliverance form all suffering and illusion) When one understands that this world is not our real home, that it is just an illusion (Maya) and is temporary and full of all kinds of miseries, they then are able to truly see things as they are and learn the process of becoming truly happy. Otherwise everything is just phantasmagoria. For all information how to become truly happy and self satisfied, read Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada- tells the purpose of human life. Go to harekrishnatemple.c for details.

I have learned to look in the mirror and to be proud of what I see
I am 51 and a lady that plays the drums
I started collecting advertising items which is a lot of fun
And I love helping others
And I learned to do those things
by looking in the mirror
and being proud of what I see

Exercise does amazing things! Even if I haven't exercised in days or weeks, doing it once makes me feel incredible almost instantaneously. Also, going back to school or engaging in an interesting hobby also can be very benefical, mentally and emotionally. Good question, I hope people benefit from it!

I changed how I think about myself. instead of being always down on myself i have started thinking that I CAN do this. While the change did not come over night it does help.

I learned to accept myself for who I am, love all that is around me, to think positive and thank God for everything I have and have not. Being at peace with yourself, you can deal with everything that comes your way without the why me question., and everyone around you senses your peace and are comfortable in your presence.
