if a men has an child and becuase him and the mom dont get along ,is it fair that he stops all contact with the child.even though he is in jail that is when he needs to stay in contact with his child.not pick and choose whichchild to love.i think that he is in the pocketbook and wig statas.{itch} am i wrong to think that?

He more than likely does not want to cause stress on anyone. Maybe he feels weird for whatever he did and just wants to deal with things on his own. Understandable. Just give him some time and try to not stress so much. Am I sort of understanding your question.Lol if not sorry. It is a whole lot different when he is out and if he just flat stops contact.

It is not fair when a father stops contact with the child. Just like it is unfair for a mother to demean the father in front of the child. I have had to go through this with both my step dad and my real dad. So, I know how you feel. Parents need to stop pitting each other against each other. It hurts the child in the long run worse. My real dad plays favorites and my step dad just avoids me because my Mother is dead. So, in essence I have lost both of my fathers and it is sad.

jail or not he should write the child once a week...it's not the child fault that his parents are a bunch of pricks... But hey that is his bed...tell him to deal with it.. Is he trying to make society another dead beat man... then keep up the work, if not he needs to step up his game, so this child can be some one decent in society

it is wrong for them to just drop out of the child's life,my son hasn't seen his father in ten years and is angry at him because of it,there is no excuse for this
