...they were more gory than outright scary?

I did, they made me jump occasionally but that was about it. I went "EWWWW!!!" more than I went "EEEEKKK!!!"

(I don't really scream like a girl btw...I might be a girl but I'm not a girly screamer)

I hate scary movies like Halloween and Friday the 13th...BUT I love the Saw Trilogy...

To me, Saw is more a psychological thriller than anything, but it has occasional smatterings of gore-ness and scary-ness...

That is the whole point of those movies.. they are supposed to be more "Psychological Thriller" rather than just "Scary Horror".

In a way I guess they are supposed to make you think.. like.. "What would I do?", "Could someone out there really be like that?", etc.

These movies were more interesting than gory or scary in my personal opinion. I guess suspenseful is good word too.

They were all more psychological thrillers than horror movies...they relied more on character development and interaction of the characters than your typical horror flick in which a few teens that you can barely keep straight which one is which, are systematically slaughtered by the bad guy jumping out of the shadows. In the "Saw" movies, the shadows are metophoric...they are not in your sight, but in your mind.

I liked the movies, but after the first one it felt like it was just kinda the same thing. Definitely gorey, but not scary at all! It was just disgusting!

I liked all three of them, but I think they're more gory than scary.

The pig thing in the third one made me physically sick to my stomach. I had to turn away. Cruel..

I think the first one was the best.
The one where the guy had to cut off his foot with the saw.

That was the first right? =/

ohhhhh no way i thought that the way they were able to drag you in and be so amazed about everything gave a sort of 'innocence' if you can say to the gore....i didnt really notice it that much till i watched it for the second time phwoar

SAW (1,2,3) is my favorite horror movie. I like this movie VERY much. I didn't had dreams when I watched it. We all know that horror movies are not real...there is no such thing as real blood & real murders. That's why I like them so much.
