How do I know?? Are you the best player in your league or at least on your team?? If the answer is no then it is probably no. You are only 11 or 12 years old for God's sake, a little to early to think about that unless you are scoring 300 points a season like Gretz or Sid. Here's a better goal, try to get good enough to get a free ride college scholarship.

You have a better chance to win the lottery.
Whoever tells you you can get to the NHL with hard work is lying. Even with hard work your chances are slim.
The best thing to do is work hard and try to land a hockey scholarship. Get an education and as far as the NHL goes let the chips fall where they may.

it really depends on how hard you practice, how dedicated you are, and the skill level that you play at. usually NHL players from the united states play AAA hockey, then move on to juniors, possibly college and then possibly the NHL. you really have to be the cream of the crop, and its not an easy process even if you have the talent/skills. Advice: play for the love of the game, work hard, and you will be rewarded, whether you make it to the NHL or not. as for your height: you'll continue to grow, and even if you were on the smaller side, it really is not as big a factor in the NHL as it is in other pro sports...look at gretzky, he was not particularly large yet he is considered by many as the greatest player ever.

I'm not trying to be a "Mom" or anything cause I'm only 15 years old also, but honestly, think about school first, you don't know how many kids wantt o make it to the NHL and don't. Don't let this be discouraging or anything, cause believe me, you can do it if you try hard enough, but facts are facts, and the chance of you making it is pretty low.

It's all about dedication, I grew up next to Paul Holmgren of the philidelphia flyers and I remember watching him shoot for hours everysingle day in his garage, in the winter every waking hour was spent at the ice rink, you have be so dedicated and lucky to make it to the NHL but the thing to remember is to to do the work when noone else is doing it and you'll go far

My recommendation is to play hard and have fun. If you're good enough, the rest will take care of itself.
Don't take this the wrong way, but the odds that you'll ever play pro hockey are extremely long. Just enjoy yourself.

There's a better chance that you could be a doctor than an NHL player. Stay in school, study hard.
