I was married and got divorced. I met my boyfriend, we were living together, and we had a kid. He committed suicide. Am i considered single?

You are a single divorced women. There was no legal attachment to the father of your child so you can not be considered a widow if you were not married to him.

Dear, I'm sorry. Really. A divorced Single. Because if you got married, then divorced. You were known as divorced. But now that your boyfriend committed suicide, you're single. Not widowed, because you weren't married. But I'm so sorry dear. Really, I am. Just stay strong. :)

You are divorced. Widow is a term reserved for those who were married and their spouse died. You are only truly single if you have never been married. However, single and divorced have the same legal standings.

Ouch, I am sorry for everything that you have been through. Because you were not married to your boyfriend, you are considered single....You could also be considered "divorced" but really I think that that is your choice.
I would also like to add that it is really evil and inconsiderate that ANYONE would bring up any degrading name of what your child could be called. It is also evil that anyone would judge you on here when you are coming and asking an honest question and looking for an honest answer. People should keep their evil and insulting opinions to themselves.

well you wouldn't be concidered a widow because your live in boyfriend was just that a boyfriend so this makes your status single...you were married but divorced so this makes your status single...so i guess your concidered single....

nope. You are legally still just divorced. had you been married to him, you would be widowed. But since you did not get married, you are divorced.
