If a man got a sex change to become a woman and changed his name to a womans name would they go to a mans prison or womans prison? or vice versus from woman to man...

I'm saying if you got a sex change and DID a crime what prison would you go to sheesh...

From everything I have ever read, the deciding factor would has been does he/she have a penis, whether it is by nature or by surgery.
In general, if he/she has a penis, he/she would go to men's prison. If he/she no longer had a penis, then he/she would go to a women's prison.

Neither, by the time you quit fighting over the issue in court, your sentence would be over. Actually, I'm fairly sure someone is currently suing over exactly that question. The answer depends on if the person is legally considered a male or a female. Personally, I don't accept the concept of a "sex change". I don't know if the courts have decided yet.

not sure about prison. i was in a county jail once,they put what they thought was a woman in the womens cellblock,she/he still had a penis,but was taking hormones and had breasts. ended up with the men. not a bad person and i guess too answer your question,it would depend on what stage they were in. if complete it would be according to the new gender.
